Hey guys,
As you probably had firgured the Bad boy has flown by now. Only 3 flights but all very good ones. The maiden was a no brainer. I took off. The plane actually started a very graceful right hand slow roll. I just lent on the left aileron till it was trimmed out and all was well. No elevator trim was needed.
Time to put her through her paces. Rolls are nuts, just like the V1. Super quick and very axial. I did lose one aileron control horn on the maiden, it pulled out of the aileron. Purely my fault, a lack of glue.
Blender time. My favourite move of all and this plane excels at it. No throttle dive, full right aileron. Then rudder and elev. I centred the aileron stick adn it did a beautiful flatspin.
Harrier. I had all manner of trouble trying to harrier my V1 from level flight. The V2 is too easy. Cut the power and feed in the up untill she stalls and get some power on and she just locks in. Very impressive.
Maiden flight and it was time for a hover. A bit higher than usual for the obvious reason, it was the maiden flight. I pulled her up to vertical and pushed the power up until it was hovering. Very very stable. I noticed the engine sag slightly so it was time to get out of there. I pushed her level and flew out no worries.
Landing was a breeze, comes in so slow you think it is going to fall out of the sky, but it just keeps on floating.
Alot of people have had KE issues with the V2, mainly pitching. I dont know what they are doing because mine sits in a High Alpha Knife Edge like it is on rails, just need to lose some of the speed to stop it pitching.
The two other flights were done at a New years fun fly on Saturday in the late afternoon.
Hovering down on the deck now, and it is still as solid as a rock in a hover. it does insane pinwheels as well. I rotated so fast on one I alsmost did two :)
I am very impressed with the v2 and there improvements from the V1 are out of sight.
Thanks for all the help as well. One last question. What font do you use for the lettering on the Bad Boy? I want to make a V2 to stick under the Y on the wing.
Thanks, Marcus

Precision Aerobatics have set a new standard for Almost-Ready-To-Fly models. I have never seen another ARF that has been this high quality. The plane does everything you tell it to do and will definitely become a frequent flyer in my hanger.

Hello everybody, I am the guy who is hovering the BB in the video on the P.A site. I am using Hitec servos all around "HS6635HB" and HS 85 on throttle. For power, I used a OS 46AX. The motor had more than enough power. On the maiden flight, I did not add any trim what so ever. The C.G. was set on the recommended range. I rolled inverted and a little pressure on the stick was needed to maintain level flight. I began to do loops, rolls, stall turns and feel the plane out. The next flight I kicked it up a notch. Waterfalls, pinwheels and knife edge. This plane will make you look good. You will find yourself flying closer to the ground. Most of the time eye level or lower. Hovering is almost effortless as you can see I am walking around with the plane.

I had the maiden flight today . The plane was a breeze to fly. It is balanced at 5.5 inches from L/E and I agree that the CG could be moved further back. However even at this CG , its quite easy to hover , knife edge, harrier and inverted spins. have not tried knife edge loops yet . I flew the first 2 flights with D/R but then changed to full rates with 40% expo and I waspleasantly surprised how well behaved the plane handled. Great plane

Hi Guys... Hoooray Hooooray Hooray I finally know what you guys have been saying all this time.... What a nice flying plane. Hovers great ... It has GOT to be the easiest plane I have ever flown to enter a hover. Just pitch the nose up and fly it right in there. Vertical lines as well as Down lines are very smooth. Knife edge loops on medium rates (I'm flying the JR 9303 with triple rates set up) Harriers.... Man Harriers are great both upright and inverted. I even did a harrier tail drag for about 15 feet down the runway!!!! No wing rock no issues at all. Just play with the throttle to keep the rudder and tail wheel on the ground. I got 12 really great flights in and a few other pilots even took a turn.
Here is something for all of you too... Our club president was at the field today. After watching me harrier, he came down to my end of the flight line, looked the plane over... and asked if he could try it. (He was flying his extreme flight edge with the Saito 72 on it) Of course I said sure.... This guy flies 3D great and flies giant scale also the best pilot in our club with the possible exception of one other) Well takes off... barely clears the ground pulls it into a hover and does a single tail tap. Then ROCKETS upward like he was trying to set a TIME to CLIMB record. This plane in the hands of someone who knows how to 3D is exceptional. I watched Water Falls, Inverted flat spins, Elevators Hovers a single tail tap, Blenders, Climbing flat spins and even an inverted elevator.
Well after my heart started again and the plane was on the ground... He turns to me and asked if this plane is still available or if he will have to wait for the next batch... In his words, I have the EF Edge and its a really good plane... but, I think I like this one better. ( He did ask if I wanted to trade, but I refused... Any questions about that? I don't think so
Let me just say this one more time... S W E E T

I've only got 3 flights so far, but in the air the Bad Boy 2 is an impressive airplane both visually and in performance. The CG is set so when inverted it requires a slight amount of down elevator stick with a full tank, with neutral elevator at about 1/4 full.
The BB2 easily locks into a stable hover and requires very little stick movements to maintain it. Harriers in both upright and inverted flight are very stable with little or no wing rocking. Waterfalls are the tightest of any of my profiles so far. Upright and inverted flat spins are quick and tight. I've managed to get a climbing inverted flat spin, but haven't been able to get a climbing upright flat spin yet. The rudder is very powerful which lets the BB2 do some cool pinwheels. The rudder seems to be very sensitive in knife edge and will take a little time to get used to it......but then again I've the rudder throw to where it bangs against both elevator halves at full travel. The landing gear seems to be made of fairly high quality aluminum and has survived a couple of "flip-flop landings" from an inverted harrier with no sign of bending.

I finally got some long awaited flight time on the Bad Boy yesterday evening. I managed 8 flights in all, emptying a tank each time through the 46AX. The first flight was used to get it trimmed out, and then get acquainted with it. Bear in mind, this is my first real 3D capable plane and I am a complete 3D noob. The second flight I tried some inverted flat spins, a personal favorite. They are easy to enter and exit, and the sink rate was amazingly low. Rolls are axial at about 2 per second.
Now for the fun part. From the 3rd flight on, I really started getting brave! I decided to get down to the business of hovering, and I wanted to do it low from the start. I brought it by on a nice approach by my right shoulder and popped it up feeding in the throttle to keep it from falling. AMAZING! There I was, holding my first hover, 5 feet off the deck! Right in front of my face was the most awesome thing I have ever done with a RC plane. I am HOOKED! Not only that, but during the same 3rd flight, I somehow managed my first tail touch and drag. I had to land almost immediately so I could go look at the mark it left in the dirt! LOL A three foot scratch in the dry, red Alabama clay lay as proof to my new mad skillz! (I gotta think big)
In the next 5 flights I added a few more moves to my portfolio of flight performances. One of my new favorites is the KE circle. Three feet off the deck, 360 degrees around myself. I got dizzy spinning around to follow it so many times LOL. I even nailed a KE circle out in front of myself. This plane makes me look a lot better than I am, that's for sure!

I have many flights on my Badboy v2. Thought I would post a followup to my original less than sterling post. Were to start? The good stuff or the bad stuff. Well first off there really isn’t any bad stuff. We do have to keep in mind that this is a profile and has all the pluses and minuses that implies. That being said, I can state that the Badboy is the best flying profile I have flown. And as stated in the other post I’ve flown profiles by Thunder Tiger, Morris, Extreme Flight, Accel and a couple of others I can’t remember right now. I have found that the coupling in knife edge is easily controllable with a little preset aileron and elevator to rudder mixing. The plane does any number of things superbly well and looks awesome. First time I ever did an inverted flatspin with no altitude loss.
A few comments on this plane now that I have several flights on it
Covering. I have had no orientation problems with the see-through covering at all. This plane flies so well and recovers so quickly that you can fly it a lot closer than you may think or be used to.

Hello: I had a experienced pilot test fly my newly finished badboy v2 today and it flew great, nothing out of an aerobatic workbook, but great! I used an os sf .46 for power, jr 500 2.4 rec.and jr digital servos and a spectrum transmitter. What was interesting it flew inverted hands off with only a small trim adjustment, like a rock.Solid, fun airplane.
